The clash between Team Liquid PH (TLPH) and Smart Omega (OMG) during the Week 2 Day 3 of MPL PH Season 15 was nothing short of a spectacle. While TLPH started strong, OMG proved they were more than capable of pushing the series to its limits, forcing a Game 3 that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
Game 1
TLPH wasted no time asserting their dominance, showcasing their superior coordination and aggressive playstyle. From the very beginning, they controlled the map and dictated the pace, securing a convincing victory to start the series.
Game 2
The second game saw a much closer battle, with both teams trading blow for blow. TLPH’s KarlTzy pulled out a signature Fanny pick, adding immense mobility and pick-off potential. However, Smart Omega refused to back down, keeping up the tempo and matching TLPH’s aggression.
The game’s defining moment came at the 17-minute mark when Andoryuu secured a crucial Lord for OMG, seemingly turning the tide in their favor. However, TLPH’s disciplined defense stopped the Lord’s march, resetting the battlefield. What followed was a relentless tug-of-war, with both teams fighting for control. Ultimately, OMG’s persistence paid off, securing another Lord that finally cracked TLPH’s defenses, allowing them to claim victory and push the series to a deciding Game 3.
Game 3
The final game began as an all-out brawl, with both teams aggressively trading kills. Smart Omega took early control, pressuring TLPH across the map. However, TLPH remained composed, slowly regaining momentum through KarlTzy’s Hayabusa, who racked up nine kills by the 14-minute mark. With their jungler leading the charge, TLPH seized map control and began to snowball.
Despite OMG’s best efforts to hold their ground, TLPH continued to press forward. A crucial Lord fight saw TLPH securing the objective, forcing OMG into a defensive stance. With all inhibitor turrets destroyed, OMG had no choice but to make a last stand. They threw everything they had into the final fight, but TLPH’s superior execution secured them the win, closing out the series 2-1.
