MPL PH: Twisted Minds Sweep Falcons in Dominant Fashion

The second series of MPL PH Season 16 Week 1 Day 2 saw Team Falcons (FLCN) face off against Twisted Minds (TWIS). Both teams entered the matchup eager to build momentum early in the season, but it was TWIS who completely dictated the pace of the series. After a steady start in Game 1, they ramped up their aggression and never looked back, sweeping FLCN 2-0 in decisive fashion.

Game 1:
The opener started with a quiet early game, as both sides played cautiously and avoided risky plays. The calm didn’t last long, as the action picked up around the 5-minute mark with kills traded on both sides. TWIS gradually gained the upper hand through better positioning and objective control, eventually securing the lead and closing out Game 1.

Game 2:
Riding their momentum, TWIS carried their aggression into Game 2, forcing FLCN into unfavorable fights across the map. The game quickly spiraled out of control for the Falcons, with TWIS running up a commanding 24-9 kill score. MP the King delivered a standout performance with a 7/1/11 KDA, dominating teamfights and dictating rotations. With the map firmly under their control, Nosai’s Granger became unstoppable, racking up 14 kills and only one death to his name. With relentless pressure from all sides, TWIS sealed the 2-0 sweep in overwhelming fashion.

Twisted Minds’ commanding victory serves as a warning to the rest of the league—they are here to play aggressively and decisively. For Falcons, the series was a harsh reminder that slow starts can prove costly, especially against opponents who thrive on momentum.
