When two teams on a losing streak collide, desperation fuels the fire. Both Twisted Minds PH (TWIS) and AP Bren (APBR) entered this MPL PH Season 15 showdown hungry for redemption. But after a grueling three-game series, it was TWIS who finally broke their five-game skid, claiming a much-needed 2-1 victory. Despite AP Bren’s best efforts to adjust, TWIS’s unorthodox strategies and sustain-heavy playstyle proved too much to handle.
Game 1
TWIS came into the series with a surprising draft, putting Michael “MP the King” Endino on Alice and Jomearie “Escalera” Santos on Floryn. The result? A relentless sustain-heavy composition that AP Bren simply couldn’t crack. Every team fight felt like an uphill battle as Floryn’s healing nullified APBR’s attempts at finding pick-offs. The longer the fights went, the stronger TWIS became, ultimately overwhelming AP Bren to take a confident Game 1 win.
Game 2
Learning from their mistakes, AP Bren adapted in Game 2 by banning key sustain heroes, forcing TWIS into a different approach. Escalera’s Hilda roam pick and another Alice for MP the King didn’t deliver the same level of dominance, leaving TWIS struggling in team fights. This time, AP Bren took full advantage, with Jonathan “Jamespangks” Mendoza’s Suyou controlling the jungle and Jan “Shizou” Valdez’s Granger dealing massive damage from the Gold Lane. APBR dominated engagements, securing a well-earned Game 2 win and evening the series.
Game 3
With momentum on their side, AP Bren looked poised to close out the series—but a crucial draft mistake cost them dearly. By leaving Angela open, TWIS capitalized immediately, pairing the hero with MP the King’s Alice once again. The result was a mirror of Game 1, with AP Bren struggling to win any team fights as TWIS’s sustain strategy took over. The Angela-Alice combo ran rampant, and despite APBR’s best efforts, TWIS closed out the series in dominant fashion.
With this 2-1 victory, Twisted Minds PH finally ends their five-game losing streak, while AP Bren remains searching for answers. As both teams continue their MPL PH Season 15 journey, the question lingers: can TWIS build on this momentum, or will this win be just a brief reprieve?
