The second day of Week 2 in MPL PH Season 15 featured an intense showdown between Team Liquid PH (TLPH) and AP Bren. TLPH, looking to make a statement, came out swinging, while AP Bren fought tooth and nail to turn the tides in their favor. However, despite their resilience, the reigning champions struggled to keep up with TLPH’s relentless aggression.
Game 1
Right from the get-go, TLPH wasted no time asserting dominance, building a massive lead by the 6-minute mark with a staggering 7-kill advantage. Their aggressive playstyle kept AP Bren on the defensive, forcing them to turtle inside their base. Although AP Bren managed to hold on through multiple base defenses, the overwhelming lead that TLPH had built proved insurmountable. Eventually, TLPH delivered the final blow, securing a commanding victory.
Game 2
TLPH once again started strong, securing the first Turtle and picking off two members of AP Bren early on. Just like in Game 1, they gained early momentum and established map control, forcing AP Bren to play reactively. However, AP Bren showed signs of life at the 8-minute mark, pulling off a game-changing wipeout against TLPH. Seizing the opportunity, they secured the Lord and pushed down mid, taking down multiple turrets to buy space and farm.
As the game entered its final stretch, both teams fought tooth and nail over Lord control. AP Bren managed to secure two Lords, but TLPH’s defense remained steadfast, preventing any major breakthroughs. The third Lord became the turning point—despite AP Bren securing the objective, TLPH managed to take down four of their members, leaving them exposed. Without hesitation, TLPH charged mid and sealed the series with a decisive 2-0 victory.
