After a rather disappointing run last season, Team Falcons PH is slowly getting back in their prime form after winning against ONIC PH in the MPL PH Season 15 Week 2 Day 1. Both teams showcased their strengths, with ONIC PH demonstrating resilience and FLCN proving their dominance in crucial moments. The series saw exceptional individual performances, including KingKong’s Fanny and SuperMarco’s Savage. Here’s a breakdown of how the action unfolded:
Game 1
ONIC PH took an early lead at the 5-minute mark, but Team Falcons (FLCN) dominated the objective game, securing all the Turtles. The momentum shifted further in FLCN’s favor after claiming the Lord at the 10-minute mark.
Following the Lord’s takedown, ONIC attempted to punish FLCN but ended up losing three members in exchange for only two eliminations. Desperate to close the match before the late game, FLCN made a strong push towards the Nexus at the 15-minute mark. However, ONIC held their ground, securing a crucial four-man takedown to turn the tides.
Despite losing in the objective battle, ONIC PH’s KingKong’s Fanny was a key factor, picking off important targets at the right moments. At the 17-minute mark, another team fight erupted, with ONIC emerging victorious and forcing FLCN into retreat after losing three members.
A tense Lord dance commenced at the 20-minute mark, but instead of securing the objective, both teams engaged in an intense brawl, which resulted in FLCN losing four members, leaving them in a dire situation. With only FlapTzy left to defend, ONIC PH’s Kelra made the decisive move, pushing straight for the Nexus and securing the first game.
Game 2
ONIC PH took a more aggressive approach in the early game, enabling KingKong to secure the first Turtle. However, FLCN gradually took control, dismantling three of ONIC’s outer turrets by the 8-minute mark.
FLCN continued their momentum by securing the first Lord and swiftly destroying ONIC’s middle-tier turrets. With ONIC in a vulnerable state, FLCN’s SuperMarco capitalized by eliminating their top inner turret, further tightening their grip on the match.
As KyleTzy secured the Lord, his teammates effectively distracted ONIC PH, forcing them to abandon the objective. With the Lord leading their charge, FLCN stormed ONIC’s base and sealed the victory, pushing the series to a deciding third game.
Game 3
Determined to claim the series, FLCN went all out in Game 3, overwhelming ONIC PH and securing a decisive victory.
SuperMarco delivered a standout performance, achieving the first Savage of MPL PH Season 15 with a total of 12 kills, cementing FLCN’s dominance and closing out the series in their favor.
