Week 4 of MPL PH Season 16 kicked off with a clash between AP Bren (APBR) and Aurora Gaming (RORA), but what was expected to be a competitive series turned into a showcase of Aurora’s dominance. APBR had their flashes of resilience, particularly in Game 1, but they couldn’t sustain it against RORA’s relentless aggression. With Yue leading the charge, including a Savage that electrified the crowd, Aurora proved why they’re one of the most dangerous teams in the league. By the end of the series, APBR found themselves overwhelmed and swept aside in a 2–0 finish.
Game 1
Aurora Gaming started strong, keeping APBR on the back foot. APBR briefly stabilized at the 7-minute mark, protecting their territory from invades, but the momentum shifted when Yue secured a Savage that sealed the game. Interestingly, those five kills were Yue’s only ones in the match, but they were enough to deliver RORA the win.
Game 2
The second game mirrored the first. Aurora kept their aggression high, suffocating APBR ’s attempts to recover. By the 10-minute mark, the scoreboard showed a 13–3 lead in favor of RORA. APBR had to pour everything into their defenses, but Aurora eventually broke through their base and ended the match with a clean sweep.
