MOONTON Games, the global developer and publisher of the hit mobile Multiplayer Online Battle Arena game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, will officially launch Acecraft worldwide on 28 August. The game brings players the world’s first fully hand-drawn, two-player co-op vertical shooter for mobile. To mark the global launch, MOONTON will roll out a line-up of special activities packed with in-game rewards, alongside Acecraft’s first major crossover: the arrival of Tom & Jerry in Cloudia.
The cat-and-mouse chase takes flight

Acecraft’s global launch will usher in the arrival of its crossover with the beloved cartoon series Tom & Jerry. The timeless chase between the iconic duo will spill into Cloudia, bringing their slapstick chaos to the skies in limited-time events. For the first time, the cat-and-mouse rivalry continues in a hand-drawn, co-op bullet hell, a crossover that sets the tone for Acecraft’s future as a living intellectual property (IP).
Alongside the collaboration, players who join Acecraft at launch will unlock a line-up of activities designed to reward early adventurers. From valuable in-game items to exclusive bonuses and themed prizes, these launch events build on the slew of rewards from the pre-registration campaign, arming pilots with resources for the journey through Cloudia.
Hand-drawn heroes backed by a legend
One of the main elements of Acecraft is its cast of eight Ace Pilots, each brought to life through frame-by-frame hand-drawn animation. Their designs blend slapstick comedy, expressive charm, and mechanical detail, bringing unprecedented charm to the shoot’em up genre.
Legendary animator John Pomeroy, best known for his work on Tom & Jerry, praised the cast after previewing the game. “I think the animation is terrific… The interesting part of Acecraft’s animation is that I see glimmers of the acting and personality of the characters. That’s the hard part. I’m really impressed with the animation in Acecraft.”
To celebrate the launch, Acecraft is also releasing a behind-the-scenes feature with Pomeroy himself. In it, he shares insights into how rubber hose animation brings personality to life, offers his perspective on Acecraft’s character design, and even sketches Joey, one of the eight Ace Pilots, in his signature style. From Amelia, the cheerful girl next door with a candy-pink aircraft, to Elsa, the sharpshooting bounty hunter who bends luck to her will, the roster sets the stage for a character-driven bullet hell experience. The personality profiles of the pilots are available in Appendix A.
Cloudia: A world under siege
At the core of Acecraft is Cloudia, a floating world divided into islands, each with its own theme, enemies, and challenges. Players begin their journey aboard the Ark of Hope, a massive airship built to defend against the Nightmare Legion.
Each island in Cloudia comes alive with its own dangers and design. Sweetopia is overrun by warring desserts, Ghost Swamp hides cursed spirits in its fog, and Wonderland lures players into shifting mazes and trickster foes. Every region introduces unique enemies and problems to solve, keeping battles varied as players face the Nightmare Legion and race to recover the stolen Key of Destiny. Find more information about the different islands in Appendix B.
Acecraft opened pre-registration in July and has already surpassed 7 million sign-ups, underscoring its place as one of the most anticipated mobile releases.
