With the final MPL PH Season 15 playoff slot on the line, Smart Omega (OMG) clashed with Twisted Minds PH (TWIS) in a high-stakes best-of-three. TWIS held the advantage in points and aimed to secure their spot, but OMG, desperate for redemption, brought the fight and refused to back down—ultimately taking the series 2-1.
Game 1
Smart Omega came in with early aggression, pressuring TWIS into second-guessing their movements through the smart picks of UK1R’s Zhuxin and Super Yoshi’s Kalea. Despite TWIS managing to claim the first Lord at the 11-minute mark through lane pressure, OMG held strong. A crucial team fight turned the tide, allowing OMG to take Game 1 with a well-earned victory.
Game 2
TWIS struck back in Game 2 with a solid draft featuring Kalea and Granger, countering OMG’s Helcurt pick that was aimed at breaking their backline. TWIS’s superior team fight composition dominated the map, eventually overwhelming OMG and forcing a decider in Game 3.
Game 3
OMG returned to form in the final match, giving UK1R his comfort pick Zhuxin again and pairing it with another Kalea for Super Yoshi. TWIS attempted to force engagements, but could not win the team fights. By the 10-minute mark, OMG led 14-3 in kills after a wipeout. With momentum fully on their side, Smart Omega charged through the base and secured the series win.
Smart Omega’s victory keeps their playoff hopes alive, while Twisted Minds faces an even tighter race to hold onto their postseason ticket.
