A battle between underdogs and rising contenders unfolded as AP Bren faced off against the surging TNC Pro Team in the MPL PH Season 15 Week 5 Day 2. Despite APBR’s stellar performance, it was TNC that stood victorious with a sweep.
Game 1
TNC had a rough start, with debuting jungler Koyl struggling to find his footing on Fanny. Despite early missteps, TNC stabilized in the late game, gradually taking over map control and forcing APBR to play defensively. LanCy’s Zhu Xin pick became instrumental in zoning APBR and limiting their aggression. On the other side, APBR’s Shizou kept his team in the fight with stellar plays on Harith.
The game dragged into the 19-minute mark when a crucial Lord fight erupted. Koyl managed to secure a Lord steal, shifting momentum to TNC. The final siege saw a drawn-out teamfight, but the Lord survived long enough to tear down the Nexus, giving TNC the win.
Game 2
TNC drafted Kalea for Yawi in Game 2, providing solid crowd control and sustain in skirmishes. While APBR tried to keep pace with Jamespangk’s Suyou pick, Koyl’s Joy ran rampant across the map, racking up over eight kills by the 17-minute mark. TNC secured the final Lord and marched down the lane to close the series with a convincing 2-0 sweep.
